Gateforth Park Mushroom Farm, Selby, August 2012
Introduction:
There's not really an awful lot to say about this place, compared to Thorpe Marsh and Tunstall Court which I'd explored perviously, the place wasn't really very inspiring. It was semi demolished, trashed and the victim of numerous arson attacks, the term 'derp' is basically a definition of places like this one...
I was however bitten by the urban exploration bug, and this place was local and easilly do-able, I headed off on a warm August afternoon hoping that this place might help ease my craving for more, almost like a sort of stop gap location between the bigger, more exciting explores. Looking back on the explore now, I am still glad that I did it, the place has since been leveled by the demolition men, so in some respect it was worth the effort to record what was nce here.
Anyway, I'm not going to ramble on much more about this place, basically (mind my french) it was shite...
Pictures:
Although I've slagged the place off a little, it did make for a couple of interesting photographs, the poly tunnels where fairly photogenic!
Inside the Poly Tunnels...
The main Factory area was semi buldozed, here's a look inside...
Heading back down toward what was the old mess room...
Trashed...
And that, really is about all that there was to see here, another one ticked off of the list I guess!
Cheers for reading,
